What should I expect of the venue and the celebration?

Answer

This is not a wedding! Just an excuse to stand around in a group! The whole evening will be casual - expect food, drink, and live music. Venue is an indoor-outdoor space so there will be something for everyone. If you tend to get cold in August, you may want to bring a jacket but plan for LA summer weather.
