When we were little, we found it easiest to connect through games. Whether board, video, or make believe, we always felt our happiest when playing. Games are often thought of as competitive. Clear winners and clear losers surrounded by shouting, snacks, and congratulatory (or begrudging) claps on the back. Games hold a much deeper potential. The potential to work together, the potential to think outside the box, and the potential to gain new experiences. We already owe a lot of our lives to games. We've built deeper connections with our friends and family through them. We are getting ready to embark on a new adventure. A new game. There's no high scores, no strategy guides, and no cheat codes. And yet, with so much left to be played, we've already won.
