Meghan and I met our freshman year of HS at Nazareth Academy! We have been best friends since, and I cannot imagine not having her by my side on my wedding day. We have been there for each other through the worst and best of times, and no matter the distance between us, we will always have each other's backs.

The engines roared to life, the plane barreled down the runway and then finally ascended on its short journey from Rochester to Baltimore. Anthony, on his first flight, was freaking out; hands clenching the armrest, breathing heavily, and extremely nauseated. It was a site. Matt sat next to him, calm and collected. He didn’t antagonize, he didn’t poke fun, he didn’t laugh – he simply tried to keep Anthony relaxed. Such is the nature of Matt’s character. You’ll be hard pressed to find someone more caring and compassionate. Whether it’s on a plane, a fast ferry, or in a corn maze – there’s no one better to have by your side.

Caitlin was the best thing that happened out of a poor job decision. We became instant friends, and decided to move in together in Manayunk. She has been a rock in my life since I met her, and I can't imagine doing life without her!

It was the summer of 2008; Anthony just got home from college and was anxious to meet up with his hometown boys. Jake said he would call. The hour grew late and Anthony began to watch episodes of LOST and play computer games. Finally, he went to bed feeling rejected. But of course Jake had called, and he texted and he even stopped by the house and rang the doorbell (Anthony’s phone had died). That’s because Jake is a man of his word and the most reliable friend a guy could ask for. Whether it’s getting up early for a race, ringing the bell in freezing temperatures, or driving a hung-over friend all the way back from Denver – you can always count on Jake to be there for you.

My future sister-in-law! As an only child, I have always wanted a sibling, and I couldn’t be happier that I am gaining Megan as a sister! I am so blessed to join Anthony’s family. Megan welcomed me into the Salata clan with open arms from the start, and I am so thankful for that. We have shared amazing memories over the years, and we cannot wait to have Megan by our side in January!

Basking in the Puerto Rican sun, between mouthfuls of mofongo, Anthony reflected on the past weekend. It was his brother-in-law to-be, Mike’s, bachelor party and they had spent the long weekend enjoying the best of Puerto Rico: El Yunque, playing blackjack with Rodney Harrison, and of course chicken “dancing.” It was during this weekend that Anthony realized just how fortunate his family was to be welcoming Mike. Constantly thinking about the well being of those around him, you won’t find someone more conscientious or selfless than Mike. Whether it’s planning the next family vacation, putting up with the Salata antics, or taking a great selfie, Mike is the guy to have on your team.

My amazing goddaughter. Abby has grown into one special young lady, and I am so proud to be her godmother! I have been blessed to have a wonderful relationship with her over the years creating memories and watching her come into her own. So excited to have Abby in our wedding, because I cannot imagine our special day without her there!
