Our story began at a RA hosted event for the Neptune community at the University of Central Florida. There was pizza, music, hula hoops, corn hole, and a bunch of students socially interacting. At the event my friend, Matthew, met a girl named Crystal. They exchanged numbers and continued talking through text that night. My friends and I went down the street to the Steak n Shake to buy some milkshakes while Crystal went back to her dorm. Matthew asked Crystal if she wanted to hang out and talk more in exchange for a strawberry milkshake. That's where I took the opportunity and asked him to tell her to bring a friend of hers for me to meet. She agreed and told him they would wait at a table outside of their building. Crystal asked one of her three roommates to come with her and that roommate ended up being Beatriz. Matthew and I grabbed milkshakes for the two girls and hurried back to UCF to meet them. Once we arrived, I looked up and saw Bia sitting in a chair. My heart instantly skipped a beat. We bonded over soccer since the World Cup in Brasil was going on. We joked about how if we kept talking we'd catch the sunrise soon. We exchanged numbers and went back to our dorms. The next day was our first date, June 30th, 2014. I asked her to go out to dinner with me. I picked her up with flowers in my hand and had a wonderful time. We continued to go on dates for the next month until I finally met her parents and little sister. Soon after, that we started dating on August 16th, 2014. As time went on our adventures continued. We went to the movies at least twice a month to watch the newest comedy or romance movie that came out. We went on cruises, many new restaurants, traveled to different cities, hung out with friends, and had many adventures in Florida.

I proposed to her on July 29th, 2023. We just moved in together into our apartment in Michigan and it was time to take the next step. I can't wait to stand on the altar with her and continue the next chapter of our love story.
