In a nutshell... It all began in the beginning of 2018 in Friesland, the Netherlands. Beatriz was doing Erasmus in the same company as Joris was doing an internship. It didn't take long for us to realize that there was a special connection that was bringing us together. By the spring of 2018, we decided to give us a try and dove into the beginning of our story. In the summer of 2018, Beatriz' internship was about to end which meant she had to go back to Portugal to finalize her studies. At the same time, Joris was preparing to move to Madrid for his studies as well. That was the point that we had to decide how we would move forward with our relationship. We were enjoying a lot our time together and didn't want it to end... So we decided to give it a try and moved together to Madrid. In Madrid, our relationship grew strong. We were having a lot of fun, living together for the first time in our tiny apartment, enjoying our time traveling across Spain and meeting amazing people. We were there for a year until we decided to move to the Netherlands. Back in the Netherlands, we settled in Leiden, where we built our lovely home and adopted our beautiful cats Vince and Mia. We have been calling this our home since then, even though we had been building our own tourism business in the North of Portugal where we like to go regularly. In 2023, we decided to take a break from our jobs and travel across Europe in our camper van for several months. We had the time of our lives, experiencing the freedom of travelling so freely and with so much time. And yes, our relationship survived the ultimate test of spending 5 months together 100% of the time! Along the way, Joris proposed and we decided to take the next step - getting married. Now, back to the Netherlands, we are busy planning the wedding and our future adventures. We are truly excited to celebrate this special day with all of you and we promise to make it unforgettable!
