We're so excited to celebrate!

Adam and Beatrix met at a rally protesting the firing of (former) attorney general Jeff Sessions. A mutual friend had planned to set them up, and Beatrix, having checked out Adam online, recognized him at the rally. She made her move. "OH, I think I recognize you from that community meeting", she lied. She introduced herself to Adam and also met a man she assumed was Adam’s boyfriend. She left, dejected. Lo and behold, the man was Adam’s sister’s partner–hope survived for this budding romance. A few days later, they met again. Beatrix asked Adam out to coffee; he agreed to go as friends. At friendship coffee, Adam ordered waffles, which was weird, but not a dealbreaker. Rethinking his decision, Adam asked Beatrix on a date to see Les Miserables. Beatrix had no intention of seeing this boring play that was sure to put her to sleep. Finally, after two coffee dates as friends, they went on a real date. Beatrix looked over at Adam while playing corn hole and fell in love. Adam had an okay time–enough to ask for a second date. Beatrix wrote in her journal that evening "I am going to marry Adam Nelson." Adam proposed on New Year’s Eve 2021. They are overjoyed to make this union official.
