Last year was a wild year for everyone let's be honest. With 5 days to go to our original date, the world shut down and a pandemic took shape. We were optimistic that moving our date to October 2020 would be enough time for the pandemic to get under control and for us to finally get married. However, as you all know, that didn't happen. Travis and I chose to get married in a small intimate ceremony on October 24, 2020 with just 25 guests. It was an amazing day. This year, we will be celebrating that marriage by having a vow renewal almost a year later as well as a PARTY! We are so hopeful that we can enjoy each other's company this year and are crossing our fingers that this can happen and we can't wait!
As many of you may or may not know, Travis and I went to high school together. Travis graduated the year ahead of me and we knew each other, even worked together for 2 summers, but we did not date. It wasn't until several years after college (5 to be exact) that we were connected through e-Harmony of all things. Once we were matched, I realized that we already knew each other, I tried to skip all of the crazy questions and structure that e-Harmony makes you answer back and forth. The website desperately warned me that if I went through and skipped steps that I would mess things up and the relationship "wouldn't work." Well I guess the jokes on them! Many of you know that I got cold feet at one point and left Trav at a table in the back of Sylvan Street Grille. About 5 months later, I came to my senses and realized my mistake and on December 9 2016 Trav was nice enough to decide that I was worth a second chance and now here we are today!
