Things To Do

If you have some time before or after the wedding, here are a few of our favorite places to eat, walk and explore. The wedding will take place on Lidingö, an island just outside central Stockholm. We recommend staying at Villa Foresta, which is very close to the venue, but it’s also easy to get into the city center by bus and metro. And of course, if there’s anything specific you’re interested in, just ask us, we’re very happy to help with more tailored tips!

Millesgården Museum

32 Herserudsvägen, Mosstorp, Stockholms län 181 50, Sweden

This is where we'll have our ceremony but if you're looking for something nice to do we always recommend a visit here to look at their beautiful gardens.

Djurgården

Stockholm, Stockholms län, Sweden

One of the nicest areas in Stockholm for a walk, museums, and coffee. Museums on Djurgården: ABBA The Museum – Fun and interactive, even if you’re not a huge fan. (Bea's favourite! 😻 ) Thielska Galleriet – Beautiful art museum. (Ville's favourite! 😻 ) Vasa Museum – The famous 17th-century ship, incredibly well preserved. Skansen – Open-air museum with Swedish history, animals, and great views. Nordic Museum – Nordic culture and history, design, and everyday life. Junibacken – Based on Astrid Lindgren’s stories (especially nice if you have kids). Prince Eugen’s Waldemarsudde – Art, gardens, and sea views. Liljevalchs – Contemporary art exhibitions. Pro-tip: Take the ferry from Dalénum on Lidingö to Djurgården. Fika at Blå Porten or Rosendals Trädgård.

Stockholm Archipelago

Stockholms län, Sweden

If you have time, we really recommend heading out into the Stockholm archipelago. Sandhamn is an easy and beautiful option. You can also take a boat trip from AGA straight from Lidingö. We are organising a boat tour on Sunday. Email us if you want to join!

Nationalmuseum

2 Södra Blasieholmshamnen, Stockholms län 111 48, Sweden

One of our favorite museums in the city. A beautiful building with classic art, design, and a very good café. (Ville's all time favourite museum in Stockholm! 😻 )

Mahalo

26 Odengatan, Stockholms län 113 51, Sweden

Best vegan option for a quick lunch. (Bea recommends Knivsöder! 😻 )

Restaurang WS

5 Carl Milles väg, Mosstorp, Stockholms län 181 50, Sweden

Pretty restaurant close to the venue.

Vattenverket Kottlasjön

14 Insjöhagsvägen, Brevik, Stockholms län 181 65, Sweden

A cozy café on Lidingö that’s perfect after a walk or light hike. Great for fika or lunch. Recommend combining with a hike. Another option is Långängen's café in this area.

450 Gradi

1 Brostugevägen, Baggeby-Larsberg, Stockholms län 181 55, Sweden

A very hyped pizzeria on the island.

Lillebrors bageri

10 Rörstrandsgatan, Stockholms län 113 40, Sweden

Go here for best cinnamon buns.

Krümel Cookies & Crumbs

53 Valhallavägen, Östermalm, Stockholms län 114 22, Sweden

The best cookies in Stockholm!

Stora bageriet

2 Sibyllegatan, Östermalm, Stockholms län 114 51, Sweden

Another great bakery for buns.

Le Kebab Östermalm

38 Birger Jarlsgatan, Östermalm, Stockholms län 114 29, Sweden

For a quick lunch: order the vegan bowl (vegan kebab salad). Bea eats it at least once a week when she’s in Stockholm (😻!).
