What should I wear?

Welcome Drinks: Sunset Fiesta. Whatever you would normally wear for your typical 'golden hour' holiday drinks. Think sundresses, linen shirts and sandals. Ideally avoid jeans and any sportswear/football shirts... Wedding Day: Summer Formal. What does that mean? I'm glad you asked. Think linen or summer suits, floaty dresses, florals and generally your summer best. We won't be on grass so go ahead and wear those heels you've been thinking about (but do beware of the cobblestones - stilettos may not the best choice but we would be impressed). Boat Party: Coastal Disco. For dress code, we're thinking fun beach day out - go as big and bold as you fancy - we're on holiday!! There may be a bit of a breeze as tends to happen on boats so bring a layer. Bring your swimmers and a towel if you fancy a dip.

Where should I stay?

There's loads of good options in Mallorca. Palma is a beautiful city and well connected with taxi ranks etc., the happy couple and their wedding parties will be staying west in the town of Santa Ponsa, and others will be in Andratx and the surrounding areas. We would recommend somewhere in the west of the island for ease of transport around the wedding - see the next question which may help inform your decision, but if you're still not sure, just ask us!!

What about travel to and from the wedding itself?

Answer

There will be buses going direct to the wedding venue on the BIG DAY from central Santa Ponsa leaving at 16:00 for those that want. At the end of the night there will be buses leaving the venue every 30 minutes from 24:00 until 03:30. The buses will go to Santa Ponsa with a drop off first in Palma (subject to demand). There are taxi ranks in both Santa Ponsa and Palma. Feel free to arrange your own transport too of course.

How hot will it be?

Answer

We believe somewhere between London and the Sahara. Jokes aside, we're hoping for high 20s in the daytime, hence the nice late afternoon start time. The ceremony will be outside under the shade of some trees so bare that in mind, but we'll make sure water and everything needed to keep you comfortable is provided if it is hot. There's the small possibility of storms in August and September so we'll have to see closer to the time what the conditions are, but we have a lovely Plan B inside at the venue if need be.

Well we've stopped counting, but archival records suggest 11 years and going strong. Pretty cool, eh.
