Andrew and I went to high school together, but didn't connect during that time. Although we had several mutual friends, our paths never crossed. We connected 14 (!) years later with the help of good ‘ol social media. Whether Andrew wants to admit it or not, he slid into my DM’s… modern day romance kind of stuff! One night watching the Dallas Stars and the rest is history!

Let me set the scene for you… my first trip to Canada. Andrew is finally back in his happy-place at Round Lake, first time since before the pandemic. We had a beautiful day, until it wasn’t. Unfortunately for Andrew, a summer rainstorm blew through causing a brief delay. Andrew being the anxious guy he is, is impatient and insists we go out for a boat ride. I was oblivious and just happy to be on vacation… frolicking on the beach with a butterfly. Eventually the rain passes, we finally secure THE “boat bag,” and then we are underway. Moments later in the middle of Round Lake, a place rich in Thrasher history, Andrew asked me to be his wife!
