How We Met

1 - 3 - 24

We matched on Hinge on January 3rd, 2024, and neither of us had any idea we had just met our future spouse. We began texting each other nearly 24/7, and went on our first date 10 days later, which lasted 8 hours!! After that, we called each other every night (sometimes until 1am), and a week later became officially boyfriend and girlfriend!! As we dated and deepened our relationship, we quickly realized that we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together.

The Proposal

6 - 2 - 24

Brandon’s POV: Shortly, after Ally and I made our relationship official I quickly realized that I didn’t ever want to leave this girl and I wanted her to be my wife!! After some more discussion about what both of our ideal timeline for the wedding would be, we both knew that we wanted to get engaged mid year and get married later this year. The process towards the proposal had now begun, I started saving up for a ring, and started working with some of Ally’s best friends to figure out how to make this the best proposal ever! Fast forward after months of planning and with a ring in hand it was Sunday, June 2nd, the day I would ask my best friend to be my wife! I had one last problem to take care of, we shared our location with each other but this was the one day I did not want her to know where I was. So I began by driving down from south Fort Worth to Pursuit Bible Church in Cleburne which is the church I was going to at the time in order to swap phones with my brother so it would look to Ally that I was attending my church. Little did she know I was heading to a park that was just down the road from her church. I drove up from Cleburne to south Irving to Centennial Park where I met up with one of my best friends Max who was doing me a huge solid by taking photos of our proposal (He’s an incredible photographer). At this point Ally was in church service while Max and I set up and waited for Ally’s friends to drop her off. I got in place and waited eagerly for Ally to arrive and after a bit I saw a car stop with a door opening and it was Ally! I then walked her to where I had set up some photos and other decorations, and then I asked her the best question I would ever ask her in my life–and she said yes! Ally’s POV: Little did I know (or maybe I did) that June 2nd would be the best day of my life so far!! I started the morning at church, with some suspicion that Brandon would propose that night after our fake dinner plans. Brandon was at his church in Cleburne, or so I thought. After church, my friends insisted on taking one car to lunch, but we weren’t actually going to lunch. They stopped at the entrance to Centennial Park, around the corner from the church, and as soon as I saw Brandon standing there with a bouquet of flowers, I knew exactly what was happening!! He walked me to the proposal spot he had set up, and he even had one of his best friends taking pictures of it all! It was everything I had ever dreamed of- and more!! Brandon was so thoughtful with every detail and made me feel so loved. I cannot wait for him to be my husband!!!
