It was March 3, 2022 & Bailey had just left a wedding and went to meet a mutual friend of theirs at the bar. As fate would have it, Bear had plans to go out that night too to meet the same friend. After seeing Bear for the first time, she convinced their friend to set them up. The friend proceeded to tell Bailey, "Bear wants to talk to you." Feeling confident, Bailey walks up to Bear and says, "I heard you wanted to talk to me," where he replied, "No, I heard YOU wanted to talk to ME." Embarrassed and giddy at the same time, she knew she was starstruck. She didn't move from his side for the rest of the night as they talked and learned more about each other. Later into the night when Bailey's mom picked her up, the friend walked Bailey out to tell her, "Mrs. MaryAnn, Bailey got a guys number and he is one of my best friends from high school!", but MaryAnn was not excited as she told Bailey, "Delete his number!" If you know Bailey, she did everything BUT listen to her mother and proceeded to text Bear the next day, in which he quickly replied. Bear had surgery Monday morning on his ACL, but it only took a week of recovery and they were off for their first date. Bear was shy and Bailey was everything but. After a few more dates, he met her family and her mom told her within 5 minutes of meeting him, "NEVER delete his number!" The rest has been history. They were together for just under 2 years when he got down on one knee and she replied "ARE YOU SERIOUS?!" like it was some sort of joke. They have loved and supported each other through their highs and lows and will continue to do so in their next journey: MARRIAGE!
