Danielle (Dani B) is Sarah’s younger sister, and growing up, they did everything together. Like most sisters, they argued over who got to go to the grocery store with Mom, who got the prized McDonald’s sweet and sour sauce, and constantly borrowed (or stole) each other’s stuff. When they were younger, Sarah was always forced to bring Dani along wherever she went—even if it was just to hang out with friends. Now, it’s funny to Sarah that she’s the one who wants to be around Dani the most. Over the years, Dani has become so much more than a sister—she’s Sarah’s best friend, the person she can always count on for a vent session or a laugh. Watching Dani grow into her own person has been one of Sarah’s greatest joys. She loves her deeply and is incredibly proud to have her as her maid of honor.
Jake Deemer

Jake and Garrett first crossed paths at Capital University in Columbus, Ohio, during Garrett’s freshman year of undergrad. Though their time together in the same city was brief, their friendship has grown over the years. From navigating life's challenges to celebrating each other’s victories, they've stood by each other through it all.

Sarah is so grateful to have Ari, Garrett’s older sister in her life. Sarah has been inspired watching her be such an amazing mom to her daughter Kyla. Ari is a kind and supportive person and makes everyone feel welcomed and valued. Sarah is excited to have her as part of this special journey and gain an older sister.
Michael Beamish

Michael and Garrett became friends through Sarah, and their bond has only grown stronger over time. They connect over everything from hitting the gym and geeking out over Star Wars, to supporting each other through diabetes. What Michael didn’t realize at the time, though, is that he’s currently 0–1 in arm wrestling matches against his future brother-in-law. Maybe time will even the score but probably not 😉
Tara Hambrose

Tara and Sarah (yes, two best friends with rhyming names) have been best friends since middle school and have been through countless adventures together—from kicking Dani off the trampoline to spending hours in Sephora without buying anything, and most importantly, always being there for each other. Tara has a unique talent for building snow forts and climbing trees, and she’s the one Sarah can always count on for fun, sparkle, and laughs. Plus, if you're lucky, you might catch her breaking out her signature ankle dance on the dance floor!
Carlos Soria

Carlos is the kind of guy who always goes out of his way to help people and show up when it matters. That’s actually how he and Garrett first met. Garrett had just transferred to Marquette University and was eating alone in the dining hall when Carlos noticed him and thought, "That guy looks a little down... but also stronger than me—yeah, I’m gonna sit next to him." That simple decision sparked a lasting friendship. To this day, Carlos and Garrett remain close friends, bonding over their shared love of Marvel and all things superhero, and always having each other's backs through life’s big moments.
Abbey Burke

Sarah and Abbey met in middle school and quickly became inseparable. They spent countless hours together, whether it was building time capsules, tackling Russian projects, or making each other laugh until they couldn’t breathe. Abbey has always been the kind of friend you can count on—loyal, brilliant, and incredibly hardworking. Now an emergency surgery resident (yes, she’s that amazing), she’s one of the smartest and most driven people Sarah knows. She’s truly an inspiration—though that doesn’t stop Sarah from putting her in a headlock every time they see each other.
Drew Dawson

Drew, affectionately known as "the angry running coach," has a rather impressive—and somewhat baffling—track record of convincing Garrett (who once swore off running at Marquette) to complete six marathons, including one in South Dakota with him. You might also recognize Drew by his pen name, "Andrew Dawson," as a previous writer for the Milwaukee Business Journal, Men's Health, Runners World and maybe even Buzz Feed. While Garrett and his friends often joke about his journalistic integrity (joke's aside he's very honest!), they’ll always follow him to his next adventure.
Erin Grady

Sarah met Erin during their freshman year at the University of Delaware, and they always joke about how their friendship began. Nervous and eager to meet new people, Sarah spotted Erin chatting with two other girls in the hallway, ran up with a box of stuff, and—let’s be honest—basically forced Erin to give her number. Little did she know, their friendship would become one of the strongest things to come out of college. Erin is the kind of person who goes above and beyond for the people in her life, always bringing kindness, adventure, and enthusiasm for new experiences. She’s a truly incredible friend, and Sarah couldn’t be luckier to have her by her side.
Tyler Goeckner

Tyler, without a doubt, is both the best and worst influence on Garrett, a dynamic that began when they first met at Marquette. Over the years, their friendship has seen it all—living together as roommates, contemplating life’s big mysteries, floating down rivers, and, of course, getting Tyler’s car towed together (because why not?). Through it all, they’ve shared countless unforgettable moments that have only strengthened their bond.
Sydney Ostrofsky

Sydney has been a steady, thoughtful presence in Sarah’s life since they met freshman year at the University of Delaware. They ended up in lots of neuroscience classes together, but it wasn’t school that brought them close—it was everything outside of it. Sydney has a quiet superpower: she really pays attention and remembers the little things that matter. Even from hundreds of miles away, she shows up in ways that truly count. To Sarah, she’s more than a best friend—she’s a constant, a comfort, and a reminder of what it really means to be there for someone.
Grady Donahoe

When Garrett first moved to St. Louis, he opened the fridge to find vials of insulin already inside—something he definitely hadn’t unpacked yet. Little did he know, what started as an unexpected encounter with a random roommate would turn into a lifelong friendship and Diabuddy connection with Grady. The two of them went on to pursue their Chiropractic degrees at Logan University, and their bond only deepened as they continued their friendship through their careers and business ventures.

Danielle, known for her sleepwalking stories (you’ll have to ask her about those), also met Sarah at the University of Delaware. Their friendship grew because Danielle truly listens and shows up when it matters most. She’s a loyal partner in crime who’s always got your back—no questions asked. Whether it’s staying up late to study or coming back for living room dance parties after nights out, Danielle cares deeply about friendship. With her, you can always be yourself—she’ll listen to anything, no judgment. To Sarah, Danielle is a ride or die bestie, and she’s honored to have her as part of this special day.
Nick Beldon

Nick started out as one of Garrett’s Biochem “tutees” at Logan University. After barely passing the class (but hey, he made it!), they quickly bonded over their shared love of nutrition, natural healthcare, and, most importantly, finding the best ways to laugh through life. Since then, their friendship has only grown.
