This is our happy place! Matt’s family is part owner of this beautiful property in southern Ohio where we go camping about once a month in the warmer seasons. There's lots of wide open space in the valley for people to set up tents, campers and park cars. Soggy Lake has no running water, electricity or cellphone service. We have two outhouses, a few camper bathrooms and we may rent some porta potties depending on how many people RSVP. Please be aware that you will lose cell signal and GPS about ten minutes away from Soggy Lake. We suggest you download the directions before you leave home. Apple and Google Maps directions take you straight to the first gate. A winding dirt/gravel road through a neighbor's property will take you to the entrance of Soggy Lake.
Don't worry if camping isn't your style! We want everyone to feel comfortable and have the best time possible at our celebration. Feel free to attend as many or as few of the festivities as you'd like and please contact us if you need alternative accommodations. Visit the Travel page to see hotels in the area.
No need to worry about camping gear! We have plenty of extra tents, sleeping bags, and bedding available for you to borrow. Simply let us know what you need, and we'll ensure you're fully equipped for a comfortable outdoor experience.
No need to bring anything—just come as you are! The Camp Crawl is our reception, there will already be plenty of fabulous food and drink. Especially if this is your first Camp Crawl, just come and enjoy! If you are a returning Camp Crawler and want to have a station, please notify us so we can give you the necessary details and we can all plan accordingly.
Feel free to dress in whatever makes you feel confident and comfortable! While we'll be in formal attire (Matt and Jessie), our priority is that you enjoy yourself. Just keep in mind that our outdoor venue means your nicer clothes might encounter some unpredictable weather and terrain, so plan accordingly. We recommend casual camping attire.
