BORACAY ISLAND, PHILIPPINES

If you've never been to Boracay or haven't been recently, here is the easiest way to get to the island and what you can expect... 1. If you're coming from outside the Philippines, you should be flying into either Manila's Ninoy Aquino International Airport (MNL) or the Mactan-Cebu International Airport (CEB). At either of those airports, everyone can take a short flight (about 1hr) to Caticlan Airport (MPH). 2. From Caticlan Airport, you will take a vehicle to the Caticlan Jetty Port (5min ride) where you will transfer to a boat for a short and scenic ride (10-20min) to Boracay Island. 3. Once you arrive at the Boracay port, another vehicle will take you to your hotel. Steps 2 to 3 can usually be arranged by your hotel, or you can take public ground and sea transportation. This sounds like a lot, because it is! But hopefully once you arrive on the island, the white sand beach will be all you think about.
