Things To Do

One reason we chose November 9th, is because it is a holiday weekend! We are hoping the Monday off work (for the lucky ones) may give you a full weekend to visit Florida! We wanted to include things to do in Tampa and Orlando if you are flying in to either location and planning to be there at all. We also wanted to include some fun things to do around Citrus County and restaurants to check out. So while the list may be long, hopefully this will allow you to make the most of your trip. The recommendations will be organized by location: Tampa area, Orlando area, and lastly Citrus County
Armature Works

Armature Works

1910 North Ola Avenue, Tampa, FL 33602

If you are traveling into Tampa, you have to check out Armature Works. Samuel and I are HUGE foodies and that's what Armature Works is for, since it is a food hall. They have so many great options, and I definitely recommend Kipos.

Hyde Park Village

Hyde Park Village

1602 West Swann Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606

My favorite place in Tampa? Hyde Park Village HANDS DOWN! This is a shopping district with great stores and delicious food. Bar Taco is so yummy and we both have been wanting to try Timpanos (you will have to ask his groomsman, Christian, about it because it is one of his favorite restaurants).

St. Pete Beach

St. Pete Beach

St. Pete Beach, FL

We went here for Samantha's 25th birthday and enjoyed the beach and ate some really good french food at Marque Cafe. If you are looking for a good beach day, St Petersburg has great ones! I also recommend walking around downtown St Pete and eating pizza and marinated olives at Bavaro's... so good.

Disney Springs

Disney Springs

1486 Buena Vista Drive, Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830

While the OBVIOUS choice for things to do in Orlando is to check out the theme parks (I am a universal girl myself), a cheaper route may be checking out Disney Springs. Another great shopping and dining area, Samuel and I saw NEEDTOBREATHE here with my maid of honor, Mary Ann and her husband. Check out what events they may be having this weekend.

Crystal River Mini Golf

1076 North Citrus Avenue, Crystal River, FL 34428
, (352) 228-8228

Ellie Schiller Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park

4150 South Suncoast Boulevard, Homosassa, FL 34446

We went here on our third date and had so much fun! It is a small zoo in town where you can see native animals to the area and an OLD hippo named Lucifer. You can pay a little more to take a boat ride over.

Hunter Springs Park

Hunter Springs Park

18 Northeast 2nd Street, Crystal River, FL 34429

Hunter Springs is a great spring to go relax, swim, and launch out of. There is a small beach area that you can lounge at and is right in the heart of downtown Crystal River, so it is great for walking around after dinner. Parking is $5 per vehicle. Vessel launch is also $5 per vessel.

Three Sisters Springs

Three Sisters Springs

917 Three Sisters Springs Trail, Crystal River, FL 34429

Three Sister Springs is probably our biggest attraction here, and November is the perfect time to go. You can buy tickets to use the board walk and explore the springs (which is absolutely beautiful), but there is no swimming access here. To swim, you can kayak/paddle in from Hunter Springs or Kings Bay. There are many rental companies around town and different manatee tours you could take as well.

Places to Eat

Here are some great local restaurants in town that we LOVE and are wanting to try: Bayside Kraft Kitchen Kelly's Half Shell Pub Los Magueyes Oscar Penn's Seafood Seller & Cafe St. John's Tavern Vintage on 5th Waterfront Social
