We know this is risky but we really want to be outside! There is no tent at the wedding site. So if it is raining or looks like it will rain, bring an umbrella. We will do the same and some great pics will be guaranteed. Something dry to sit on would be a good idea. There will be a tent for the reception that will keep us dry unless there is wind and/or heavy rain, and of course lightning. We'll be very cozy in the house if this happens, but think positive thoughts for a beautiful spring day! Ladies, remember to bring a wrap or light coat in case the evening is cool. Whatever the weather, you will be walking on grass, so you will need to wear comfortable (but still stylish, of course) shoes without spike heels.
We will include a map at a later date, but this general information might be helpful to know. In Arden it is legal to park on any right of way that doesn't have a sign indicating otherwise. That means you can pull off to the side and have two wheels on the strip beside any street within Arden, but NOT on Harvey Rd. There is also parking on the green directly across from the Gild hall, which is 2126 The Highway. That is centrally located from both the wedding and reception sites, but in opposite directions. So it's a 7 minute walk to the Field Theater (there will be signs and the map to follow), then a 7 minute walk back to your car, and then another 7 minute walk to the O'Regan's house for the reception. There will be parking all along both routes and some closer to the ceremony. There also may be additional parking offered to us by neighbors which will be noted on the maps. If you need special considerations with access, please e-mail busy betty1@gmail.com, or call 302-740-4796
Ladies- Think of styles that are more daytime rather than evening attire, dresses in a knee or mid-length are great options. You'll want to avoid a floor-length dress unless wearing a more casual maxi dress. A jumpsuit is also a great alternative to a dress as is a pantsuit. Men- Garden cocktail attire for men typically consists of a lightweight blazer or sports coat, dress shirt, tie, trousers, and dress shoes. Khakis or linen trousers are also a good option.
Parking will be at the Buzz Ware Village Center 2119 The Hwy, Wilmington, DE 19810
This paper is made by hand in Seattle from 100% tree-free recycled fibers. It contains our North American annual and perennial wildflower seed blend: snapdragon, petunia, daisy, poppy, foxglove, thyme, chamomile, maiden pinks, catchfly, and beardtongue. We recommend that you do the following; take a small piece (quarter size or bigger) of our made in the USA paper, place it into an airtight zip lock plastic sandwich bag, place a tablespoon of water (or enough to fully saturate the paper) in the bag and then seal the bag and trap a bit of air inside it so it forms a bubble to keep both sides of the bag from touching. If you do this in a room that an ambient temperature of at least 72 degrees and allow the bag to be touched by sunlight for a few hours each day, you will see evidence of the seed growth within 10 days. Once you see the sprouts’ roots searching for soil, transfer the paper from the bag into a pot (or garden) with a light covering of soil and continue nursing the seedlings along by daily watering. The dirt should be firmed down and the seeds should not be more than ¼” deep. Plant when and where 4 hours of sunlight will touch the planting each day. https://www.custompaper.com/seed_paper_sprouting.html for more detailed information
