Two kids who were in middle school that bonded so quickly over the song "Writing On The Walls" by Underoath and immediately became best friends. We shared many similarities but the biggest one was the fact that we were both metal heads that listened to the same exact music. We both found comfort in the music we listened to and were able to bond so much just through that alone. We would spend countless hours on the phone just talking about what song we should download next on our ipod shuffle, what concert we were going to next, or simply just about how much we meant to each other and how we wanted to be together. All throughout high school we shared such an attraction and no matter what ALWAYS came back to each other. We always remained best friends and for some reason we always knew that we were each other's happily ever after. On October 1st, 2011 we made it official. We can easily say that we were middle school sweethearts because for some reason we always had faith that we were both meant to be. All these years later and we can still say that we are each other's comfort, we are each other's home, we are each other's forever best friends.
On December 22nd, 2018 we joined our family on a moon light kayak trip. We kayaked to this little island to do a bonfire and have some smores. Brandon and my brother took me off to the side to "venture off" and see what else was on that island. As I looked passed the corner I quickly saw a sign with candles lit spelling out "Marry Me?" and Brandon on one knee. I can easily say that this was one of the most special moments of my life and to also experience that with my family just put the icing on the cake. I would do absolutely anything to relive that exact moment.
