We met on a winter semester interim trip through Lafayette to London and Dublin. We actually had an econ class together the previous semester, so Brendan knew who Michelle was, but Michelle didn't know Brendan (oops...). We started hanging out with a group on the trip and soon were finding reasons to break away just the two of us. The spark lasted when we got back on campus and Brendan asked Michelle out on for an official date at the end of January. We became boyfriend-girlfriend in March, the night Michelle watched The Sandlot with Brendan and got the last needed seal of approval.

Brendan pulled off the perfect surprise! We had plans to go see & Juliet on Broadway with our best friends Q and Maggie who were visiting from DC. Despite the cold February day, the gang convinced Michelle they would love to take the ferry into the city, and stop to take some pics along the Hoboken waterfront first. We took some pics of Q and Maggie, then they returned the favor...while Brendan paused to reach into his pocket and pull out the ring. Michelle was completely surprised and overjoyed. Our families were waiting for us back in Allentown for the most perfect Foley Farm Garage Pizza Party. And don't forget, the very next day, the Eagles won the Super Bowl.
