One of our favorite places to visit in DC!
A favorite of ours, especially the Impressionist wing!
Another favorite of ours. It's connected to the Smithsonian American Art Museum.
See the Declaration of Independence and the Emancipation Proclamation in person.
A (usually) quiet park with great views of the Washington Monument.
A 130-year-old market with prepared food, local produce, handmade arts & crafts, etc. The Market Lunch serves great crab cakes. The area is nice to walk around, particularly 8th Street SE (Barracks Row)
Zen place near the Library of Congress and U.S. Capitol.
Take a break by the fountain in the middle of the Circle, walk around Embassy Row to admire the architecture, browse at Kramerbooks, or check out The Phillips Collection (the country's first modern art museum).
A park with nice trails. Enter via Lover's Lane from R Street NW. The park differs from Dumbarton Oaks Gardens, which has a entrance fee.
Cool area to wander around. The Circle itself is a nice place to relax.
