We knew of each other as we both went to CrossFit Draper. At first, Baylie wasn't much of a fan as she figured Markus was just another gym rat trying to impress the ladies and drinking beer at the Sunday morning WODS. Over time the two of them became friends as Markus asked Baylie to train with him for a competition. With a little time, a lot of training, and the encouragement of Baylie's mom (Kelli) to give Markus a chance) Markus and Baylie formed a connection and became close friends.

Throughout the past 7 years, Markus and Baylie have grown together, gotten to know each other very well, and developed a relationship rooted in friendship and the enjoyment of one another's company. Their love is strong yet they know love and marriage is a choice, not just a feeling. At a family friend's house, Baylie is talking about how she will be old and gray before Markus ever pops the question.
