Our story started long before either of us realized it was our story. We grew up together as best friends — the kind of friends who were always in each other’s corner, who shared inside jokes everyone else missed, and who somehow always ended up tangled in the same friend groups no matter where life placed us. We talked about everything, including all the relationship ups and downs along the way. And yes… we even went to prom together one year when I needed a last-minute date. Luke had a girlfriend at the time, and in true “only us” fashion, we all hung out together after prom. It still makes us laugh. Through college — new places, new relationships, new routines — our lives changed, but our friendship never did. We were always in each other’s lives, always cheering each other on, and always staying connected in the small and big ways. Then about halfway through college, something shifted. It was slow and subtle at first — a lingering feeling that maybe we weren’t just friends anymore. We both felt it but were scared to say it out loud. After all, risking a friendship that had meant so much to us for so long felt huge. But eventually we took the leap… and we are so, so thankful we did. Choosing each other turned out to be the easiest decision of all. Best friends turned partners, and now we get to spend the rest of our lives doing what we’ve always done — growing up, laughing, and showing up for each other, just in a new and even better chapter. And truly, we wouldn’t rewrite a single part of how it all started.
