Never in a million years did we imagine that our freshman year of high school PE class would spark a lifelong connection. But after some fiercely competitive dodgeball matches, our stylish PE uniforms, a few "what's up, chicken butt" exchanges in English class, a memorable Princess school play, and Barrett setting off the alarms on all of Bayley’s running watches throughout the day, our love story began.

Bayley had a few conditions for the proposal when the day finally arrived: she wanted to be surprised, have her nails done, and have her parents there. Living in Denver away from their families and knowing she rarely does her nails, Bayley was convinced there was no way Barrett could pull off a surprise. But if there’s one thing Barrett loves, it’s a challenge. He managed to orchestrate the surprise of a lifetime during a trip home for Thanksgiving. Under the guise of Bayley going to dinner for her dad's birthday and Barrett attending a separate dinner for his mom’s birthday, both families gathered at the stunning riverfront at the Falls of the Ohio, creating a magical moment that will earn Barrett bragging rights forever.
