Allegiant Airlines

For all our Naples / Ft Myers friends and family - Punta Gorda Airport has allegiant that flys directly to Asheville. We usually take this airline for the short flight to NC when we do fly. They only fly on select dates, however, they usually are the most economical.

The Lodge at Banner Elk

At this time this is the only standing hotel in the town of Banner Elk. They have been acquired by a boutique hotel chain and renovations are underway to all guest rooms with completion to happen in spring of 2026. Pictures shown will be of old design. Boone is a neighboring larger town with plenty of hotel options. The drive is reasonable into the quaint town of Banner Elk, but please be mindful that if you are not comfortable / familiar driving in the mountains, it may be best to stay closer to venue.
