Matron of Honor
My little sister is the most empathetic person that I know. Kind and warm and loving...she was born with a heart three sizes bigger than the average human. And there's no one else I would have be my Maid of Honor. Even though she used to steal all my clothes (little sisters, right?).
Bridesmaid
We met in French class as high school freshman, I followed her to IU, we were roommates for two years...she has been through a lot with me and helped me grow as a person along the way. We always had our own bathrooms, though!
Bridesmaid
After meeting her on my dorm floor as IU freshmen, we decided to take a tap class together and would literally sing in the rain under my tiny red travel umbrella walking on campus. She also introduced me to the art of having tea and I was never the same after that.
Bridesmaid
We were suite-mates on the third floor of Read at IU as freshmen, which led to some memorable encounters. She is my partner-in-crime here in Chicago and helps me remember to actually buy new clothes once in awhile. She has great taste and is an excellent shopper.
Bridesmaid
I started working at Fazoli's as a college sophomore and she was one of my managers. The best kind. The one who invited me over to her apartment after work on Friday nights for food, wine and dance parties heavily featuring Britney Spears and Shakira.
Bridesmaid
The summer after my senior year in high school is when we became friends. Whether we are going to the drive-in, dressing up for Halloween, Skyping for book club, going out in Oxford or watching animated movies, it's always a fun time.
Flower Girl
She is our friend Karen's daughter. She's a big fan of the park, the pool and Elmo. She is beyond adorable and will be 2 1/2 years old on our wedding day.
Ring Bearer
He is Kristin's nephew and Kayla's oldest son. He has an amazing imagination and loves dinosaurs, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Jake the Neverland Pirate. He will be 6 years old on our wedding day!
Best Man
I have known Joe since the beginning of high school. Since then we have been great friends. From visiting him at Purdue, to making yearly trips to Summerfest in Milwaukee he's always there as a friend and always up to having a good time. If you are reading this now there is an 85 - 87% chance he is at Stack's, but you can't ask for much more from a best man.
Groomsman
I have known Alex since we started working together in Cincinnati right after college. Since then we started a dynasty in co-rec softball and even though we live in different cities we always keep in touch. He has helped me in difficult times and the amount of movies we have seen and Hooters wings we have devoured is borderline impressive.
Groomsman
Well first off, he is my brother. So I guess I have known him my whole life. So obviously he is going to be in my wedding party. We are a tight knit family and it's my honor that he will be there on this day. Probably in cowboy boots or something though....
Groomsman
I met Kyle through Kristin. Kyle is married to Kelly Schwab (last name is no coincidence) who is a bridesmaid. We have been on vacations together and camping. He is a great friend and just had a baby! Congrats again Kyle and Kelly. Don't let him grow up to be like Kyle though. That guy is crazy.
Groomsman
I have also known Frey (nobody calls him Jason in our group) since high school. I can't count how many times we had bonfires at his house. Then we were roommates at IU where we started the greatest amateur bar ever made. Fryers. We built a bar and got a CO2 system for our kegs and spent enough money on booze that I am pretty sure it's incorporated into my student loans. He has always been a great friend, type of guy you could not talk to for a year and pick right back up like no time has passed.
Groomsman
He is Kristin's little brother and because he is taller than her, he loves to call her his "little big sister". Growing up with two sisters, they always tried to make him the bad guy when they would play , but he always changed the story-line so that "he was a good guy now!" And he's still just as sweet to them as he was then....and quite a bit taller. It's always great to see them together because you can tell how much love is in that family. (Kristin wrote 98% of this and I added the end :)
