Brett and Jason were known among friends as “the boys” due to their inseparability at NMU and mutual love of watching multiple sporting events at one, hiking around Marquette, and frequenting the Third Base Bar’s Thursday pitcher night. Jason is a lawyer and made Brett sad by moving to Spokane, WA for law school, where he continues to live with his girlfriend Leah.

Maria’s best friend from college. Kbram and Maria lived together after college. Maria is Kristin’s matron of honor in May for Kristin’s wedding!

Brooke is Maria’s favorite sister-in-law! Max and Brooke just celebrated their 10 year wedding anniversary, and are such a great example to Maria and Brett for managing 2 kiddos while still being fun!

Max is Brett’s brother in law and very very tall. Max is also Maria’s favorite brother and is 7 years older! Max has been in a loving marriage with Brooke for the last 10 years! He has made sure Brett feels included in the family and is pumped to have another guy in the family!

Lael is Maria’s cousin! She is also going to Ohio State, and made this trip to the wedding work while preparing for finals!

James is Brett’s cousin and proud representative of Brett’s family in our wedding party. James and Brett have have become closer over the last few years largely due to the many dinners shared during James’ annual business visit to Madison, WI as well as a love of laughing about our crazy family and very similar hairlines. James lives in West Chicago, IL with his husband of over 25 years, Darren, and their beloved Dobermans.

Kayla and Maria work together at AFCH and she was Maria’s first friend at work! While newer friends, Kayla has made sure to make Maria feel like the most special bride ever! While Maria was working, Kayla recently went to a cubs game in Milwaukee with Brett!!

Amanda and Maria worked at St. Mary’s together. Her husband Spencer is also a groomsman and one of Brett’s best buddies!

Brett met Spencer through Spencer’s wife and Maria’s close friend Amanda. The two were fast friends due to a love of sports, bad jokes, and hacking it up together on the golf course. Spencer made Brett sad by recently moving back home to his favorite place in Greenville, SC.

Jess and Maria worked together at St. Marys! Jess just had the two cutest twins (making Maria an unofficial Auntie to Kip and Makenna) :) Sorry Jess, the babies get priority for the pic :)

Molly is another one of Brett’s best friends from college. The two met in class as public relations majors and have bonded for years over a mutual dislike of all the same people. Molly recently made Brett sad by leaving Wisconsin and buying a beautiful house in Wayland, MI with her husband Jared. Being a proud Michigander remains a sizable chunk of Molly’s great personality.

Megan is Madelyn and Kaydence’s mom! Though Maria and Megan met each other through horrible circumstances, they became best friends! Brett, Bryan (Megan’s Husband), Maria and Megan love getting together and hanging out!!

Maria was the nurse when the girls were born as micro-preemies, and took care of them their whole NICU stay. Now she is Auntie Maria and Brett is Uncle Brett to Kaydee and Maddie, and love watching the girls grow up!
