Our Story

Sometimes the best love stories don’t start with a grand introduction. Sometimes they start with two people who were already in each other’s lives, just waiting for the right chapter. When we reconnected, neither of us could have predicted how quickly something familiar would become something completely new. What started as catching up turned into hours of conversation, looking forward to every call, planning the next visit before the current one was even over, and realizing that maybe this wasn’t a new beginning at all — maybe it was the story finding its way to where it was always supposed to go. For Jenna, the girl who has always believed in a little bit of magic, falling in love with Max wasn’t the kind of whirlwind you see in movies. It was better. It was calm. It was steady. It was someone who made everything feel easier just by being there. It was finding someone who cheered on her biggest dreams, embraced her wonderfully chaotic world of theatre, Disney, glitter, travel, and endless ideas — and somehow made room for all of it. Someone who didn’t just fit into her life, but made it bigger. And somewhere along the way, Jenna found herself loving Max’s world too. Golf lessons, sporting events, new adventures, and discovering that sometimes the perfect date night is a baseball game with dancing players, costumes, and just enough theatrical chaos to make them both happy. Of course, there were a few very important approvals needed. Helmsley (Lauren's wildly judgey Bernedoodle) loved Max right away, and Penny (Jenna's niece) quickly decided he was one of her favorite people — and if dogs and kids are the harshest critics, we’d say he passed with flying colors. Since then, we’ve built our relationship through adventures big and small: trips to new places, everyday moments, cheering each other on, laughing constantly, learning from each other, and creating a life that feels like both of us. Our love story isn’t perfect because we’re the same person. It works because we’re not. We balance each other, challenge each other, and bring out versions of ourselves we’re proud of. And now we get to start our forever and we can’t wait to celebrate this next chapter with you.
