This thing is all about coming together as a big family & celebrating the next chapter. It'll be pretty chill with bite-size food, beer, non-beer, and likely some lovey dovey crap. Prepare yourself.
We’d love to know if you’re in by June 9th. Pretty please and thank you.
Kinda. While we know you’re super excited and want to line up at the crack of dawn like an old Mervyn’s commercial*, we also have some Bride & Groom stuff to tackle that morning. We should be done by 12:30, so feel free to get the party started after that. We hope to start the ceremony at 1pm. *https://youtu.be/ebD2r-8vo8Y
Wearing clothes is key. That's about it. This is a backyard wedding. Easy peasy. We're not fancy. Well, Nikki's not fancy. Christopher is another story.
All kiddos on the guest list are definitely welcome! (Although, if you're wanting a leave-the-kids-at-home day, we totally get it - no hurt feelings.) If the littles do join you, please keep in mind that this is a private residence. Meaning, reign those little crazies in - especially if we're inside. The outside is fantastic for kids. They'll love it! The inside gets a bit trickier. Broken antiques is no way to thank our hosts.
Yep! Both in the hosts' driveway and at the neighbor's house. We'll have a sign, so it'll be a no-duh situation. Just don't block people (again with the no-duh). [SEE MAP WITHIN PHOTOS SECTION]
The party's in the backyard! After you park, head to the left of the house and BOOM - chairs. Grab a cold one from the deck, hug it out with others, and find a seat. There are no sides. We're all in this together! [If it rains (please, Jesus, no), then head to the front door. The party will be inside!)
First, let's all say a prayer that it's a sunny day, but not a zillion degrees outside. Second, if it rains, we have a backup plan inside. But, again - prayers for no rain or uber hotness. (Amen.)
If the desire to hook us up is just too powerful, throwing money at our Honeymoon Fund is always a good time. Check out the Registry tab or the somewhat-tacky money jar by the guest book. (xo)
Out of respect for the venue’s small space and our gracious hosts, we lovingly ask that you only bring those listed on your invite and/or outlined within the RSVP section of our snazzy website.
The Mentzos' home is on the outskirts of Snohomish. The GPS should get you there, but below are the sure-fire directions from the hosts. Easy peasy . . . every turn (with the exception of the turn into their driveway) is at a T in the road. If you get lost, though, you can reach Jim or Phyllis at 360/563-5084. **SEE MAP WITHIN PHOTOS SECTION** [FROM HWY 2] - Take the 88th Street SE Exit - Head East on 88th Street SE until 131st Ave SE (T in Road) - LEFT on 131st Ave SE to Three Lakes Rd (T in Road) - RIGHT on Three Lakes Rd to 171st Ave SE (T in Road) - LEFT on 171st Ave SE to the Mentzos’ Home - Look for the parking signs (4th and 5th house on the LEFT)
Lots of prayers – for good weather, safe travels, and a long and amazing life together. Other than that, we should be all set! That said, our beloved hosts need to turn our wedding venue back into their home after we hit the road that afternoon. So, if you’re willing and able, I’m sure they wouldn’t fight you on a lending hand – folding chairs, tearing down tables, possibly putting furniture back where it belongs, boxing our decorations up, etc. You just might get to take home extra cupcakes or something. Woo! (And THANK YOU in advance!)
