On an early Fall morning, Emily walked to a lecture study group after her first full week of college. The professor introduced herself just as a tie dye-wearing, wild haired, senior year Chris strolled in taking the seat behind Emily. The class was asked to turn their desks around to face the person behind them to review their first assignment. Emily immediately plunged into an angry rant about the vague instructions and the harsh professor as Chris placed his perfectly written assignment on his desk and listened attentively. A beautiful friendship grew into a passionate relationship. After a little less than a year together, Chris was getting ready to graduate with his degree in Film and Media Arts and plans to stick around Philadelphia. With only about a month until graduation, Chris told Emily he was offered an amazing opportunity to work for the university in Los Angeles and begin his career dreams of working in the film industry. Chris anxiously awaited Emily's response, fearing this would be the end of a wonderful thing. Without missing a beat, Emily was proud and overwhelmed with joy for Chris. It was clear to both of them that this love was unconditional and would be forever. Chris moved to Los Angeles and Emily stayed in Philly to finish her degree in Speech and Language Pathology. While it wasn't always easy, it was always clear that this was meant to be. Chris flew home often to surprise Emily and they were together for many holidays and summers. When the time came for Emily to graduate, she made the difficult decision to head west and reunite with Chris permanently. They spend their time together hiking, camping, and travelling. They have adopted two perfect cats together, Oliver and June Bug. They love to work on home improvement projects, cook, and watch movies together. It has not always been easy but it has always been clear that this love is forever and unwavering. After 10 and a half amazing years together, the next adventure is marriage!
