After becoming friends through a production at Aurora Players in 2014, Adam asked Paige to join him for a night out to see The Lion King at Shea’s in 2017. What Paige didn’t realize at the time was that it may have been a date…but she wasn’t available at the time. After being one of a select few that kept in close contact with Paige during her two years in Los Angeles, Adam asked her out once more when she unexpectedly found herself back in Buffalo for an extending visit during the pandemic. His romanticism and thoughtfulness came through in the form of a home cooked meal and her favorite flowers, and the rest is history.
Adam told Paige that he was planning their entire anniversary weekend as a surprise. He gave her hints for their staycation weekend in Buffalo such as “dinner at this time”, “pack these types of outfits”, but no other information. On September 10th, he led her to the docks at Canalside and they paddled off in two kayaks. A lot of smiles, laughs, a “Will you marry me?”and some great drone footage later, they walked back onto land blissfully engaged. (And thankfully, he didn’t drop the ring in the water. 😉)
