We met at The College at Brockport through our mutual friends, Emily and Olivia. After a month of intramural sports, snapchats, darts at the bar, and dining hall dinners, we started dating. We began our relationship on March 3, 2020. Not long after our relationship started, we became long distance with Mike in Long Island and Maria in Rochester and thus began our Saturday virtual date nights. Virtual date nights continued for four years consisting of late-night chats, TV binging, pumpkin carving, waffle making, and lots of love and laughter. Despite the miles between us, we made every effort to see one another and pack as much as we could into the time we had together. Whether that be a day at Jones Beach or a walk at Canandaigua Lake to Broadway in NYC or a visit to the Rochester planetarium. After four years, we finally moved in together in the Fall of 2024.

Each year we plan vacations to celebrate the end of our accounting busy seasons. This year, we wanted to return to Disney World. Michael, knowing how much I love Disney, used this opportunity to plan the perfect proposal. Walt Disney World-Magic Kingdom- May 3, 2024- the BEST day ever!! It was the most perfect sunny day, surrounded by our love for each other and the Magic of Disney. Michael then brought me to Cinderella's Wishing Well under the guise of a photo shoot. Little did I know he was going to make all of my wishes come true. The photographer instructed me to look at the castle, and when I turned around Mike was down on one knee and asked me to marry him. Beyond shocked, I said yes and couldn't contain my excitement!! We then continued to take the cutest photo shoot which we will treasure forever.
