Let's take it back to 2012 when Taylor arrived at Neumann University for her Freshmen year when she met her RA named Jimbo. She spent the year studying and fermenting juice into alcohol under her bed while he noticed how cute she was and enforced the rules on a DRY campus. After that year they both went about their lives, graduated college, and started their careers not interacting much except for the occasional like on Facebook or Instagram. Fast forward to the Fall of 2018 when Jim saw Taylor post on Facebook "Petition to call cute boys who wear flannels Lumbersnacks." Jim thought he could be Taylor's Lumbersnack and sent her a snapchat of a cute dog named Kloude captioned "Do you have a moment to discuss getting me a treat?" She responded "Haha who is this?" and conversation flowed from there. He quickly established that she was single and asked her out on a date. They went on a few dates and Jim showed off his bowling skills and took Taylor to Longwood Gardens on the coldest day of the year(literally felt like 9 degrees). They started to have a crush on each other. Even on a girl's trip, Taylor couldn't stop thinking of Jim when she saw a Pokemon Go sign in a bar in Savannah, GA. After watching a drive-in movie Jim asked Taylor to be his girlfriend in the most romantic of settings...a Wawa parking lot. Their crushes grew deeper in the months ahead. They spent a weekend in Rehoboth Beach, caught a flight(and feels) to Boston, and enjoyed the summer months together. Taylor even got Jim to enjoy trips to the beach. Their chemistry grew and they both realized this relationship was serious. The summer ended with a trip to Florida where Jim told Taylor that he loved her and she responded "I love you too!" Over the Fall and Winter they spent more and more time with each other and their love for one another continued to grow. Taylor's love of traveling and Jim's love for Taylor lead them to plan a trip to Arizona in March 2020. Those plans were changed however due to Covid-19. With the quickly changing situation and the uncertainty ahead Taylor invited Jim to spend the "2 week" lockdown in her apartment. For any other couple in a young relationship being locked in together would be a challenge. Jim and Taylor's love only grew stronger. The year 2020 brought about quite a few changes in their lives. In July, inspired by her time volunteering during the pandemic, Taylor switched to the ICU. Over the Summer, Taylor's parents generously invited both Jim and Taylor to move in with them. That turned out to be a great location because Jim was hired to teach at a school 20 minutes away. Towards the end of 2020 they found the perfect apartment and moved into their own place. A new family member joined the apartment in early 2021 when Jim and Taylor adopted their cat Leona! As 2021 progressed Taylor kept bringing up rings(and not on the phone). Jim would respond "maybe we'll look in the Summer or Fall." Little did Taylor know he was out looking. Jim came home from work one day and Taylor said "For our Spring Break trip, you have two options: Alabama or West Virginia." They decided on West Virginia and enjoyed exploring the Mountaineer State. As they explored Jim carried a bookbag with all of the essentials: keys, wallets, snacks, water...and an engagement ring! Taylor was getting ready one morning; Jim was in awe at her stunning beauty and he thought "Today is the day. She is getting engaged." While hiking through nature preserve they stopped at an opening that overlooked the Potomac River and sat on a bench. Jim asked "When do you want to get engaged?" "Today!" Taylor responded. Jim said "That sounds good!" and got down on his knee asking Taylor to marry him.
