August 1, 2015 We met on a blind date set up by mutual friends. That date happened to take place at a wedding at Cottonwood Barn in Dexter, MI which is Jacky's hometown. Jake was a part of the wedding party and was in need of a plus one. We danced the night away and got to know each other. July 16, 2023 The day after Jacky's Birthday on our way to brunch, Jake took a slight detour and stopped at Cottonwood Barn. As we pulled in, Jake realized this previous wedding venue was now a private residence with a fence and gates. In order to make things official and follow through on his plan, Jake pulled his truck into the backyard and we walked to the Barn where he proposed!
