We do not currently have a hotel block reserved, as many of our guests are local or staying with family and friends. If a hotel block would be helpful to you, please feel free to reach out to Maddie or John—we’re happy to explore this option if there’s sufficient interest!
Semi-formal. No black tie or tuxes required; suits, sports coats with ties, and cocktail dresses are perfect! As our ceremony will be in a Catholic church, and we do kindly ask that your attire is respectful of and appropriate for that setting.
There is a parish school on the church grounds, and our wedding is on a Friday when school will be in session. However, our ceremony begins after school pickup is finished, so there will be ample parking available at the church. Once our Mass is complete, you're free to head directly over to our venue in St. Clair Shores for cocktail hour. It is a 25-30 minute drive. There will also be plenty of parking at the venue, so no need to worry about that-- but carpooling always makes things easier!
Our wedding Mass will start promptly at 4pm. We ask that you arrive around 30 mins before it begins to ensure everyone is seated and settled. The church is large and there will be plenty of room for all our guests.
Since our marriage is a sacrament in the Catholic church and occurring in a sacred space, we kindly ask that out of reverence you refrain from using your phone to take pictures during our wedding Mass. We'd like you to be fully present with us, and we will have photographers/videographers there to capture these moments in accordance with respect for the environment. Please feel free to get as many pictures and videos as you'd like before and after!!
We're looking forward to cocktail hour with hors d'oeuvres followed by a multi-course family-style dinner, cake, and a late-night snack. And, of course, an open bar!
Our reception will be indoors, but there is a beautiful courtyard just outside the hall doors for some fresh air in between all the dancing!
We kindly ask that only those named on the invitation attend. If a plus one or children are included, they will be listed by name.
