We met at church like any 2 coptic orthodox couple but neither of us thought this could be something. When we met, we both were not looking for a relationship nor were we ready for one. We just found each other in the same church friend group. We started talking and slowly became familiar with each other. Thennnnn our church went on a retreat to St. Antony's Monastery in California, and we both happen go on that trip. We did not know many people in the group that was going, so naturally we both started talking. After that trip, we became very good friends. We talked to each other about everything and told each other things we never told anyone else. It felt easy to talk to each other and feelings slowly started to develop. We both resisted them for a really long time... but eventually we failed and fell in love without realizing it. We thank God every day for his countless blessings, lessons and grace that he granted us throughout the years. We are not lucky that we have found each other but blessed. “And the Lord God said, “It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him.” Genesis 2:18 “Two are better than one, Because they have a good reward for their labor.
