OUR STORY
Starting from their first date in DC, Mimi and Sean's story started with the saints. After the Hamilton Restaurant on 14th St., Mimi and Sean visited DC's National Gallery of Art.
The museum featured select pieces from ancient Christianity. This led Mimi and Sean to the icons of St. Jerome, many works of St. Mary, as well as several Old Testament depictions...including one of Mimi's patron saints: Elijah the Prophet.
Since that beautiful August afternoon, Mimi and Sean have always felt that the saints have been guiding them every step of the way.
For every feast of a patron saint, the couple would celebrate in any way they could. The lives of the saints became woven into the breath and breadth of their story.
As shown above, Sean proposed on a Spring evening on 14th St. (wink wink!) and brought the saints along with him. Surely, these are not the only "saints who have guided us." But we will say this: Christ was at the door of our proposal and He remains at the door of our Home.
