Our ceremony will take place within a traditional Catholic Mass, which includes readings, prayers, a short homily (sermon), and the celebration of the Eucharist (Communion). It typically lasts about an hour. Even if you’re not Catholic, we hope you will attend and witness this sacred part of our marriage. **Do I have to participate in the religious parts of the ceremony? Not at all, but we would love if you did! We will have a pamphlet made to help you follow along. Everyone is welcome to join in whatever feels comfortable—some guests may stand, sit, or kneel at different times; if you’re unsure, simply follow along with those around you. During Communion, only practicing Catholics receive the Eucharist, but guests of other faiths may come forward with arms crossed over the chest for a blessing. ***Can I take photos or videos during the ceremony? We ask that guests refrain from taking photos or videos during the ceremony. We have a professional photographer capturing everything, and your presence and attention are the most meaningful gift you can give us in that moment.
The ceremony will take place inside the beautiful St. Ignatius Catholic Church. The reception will be a mix of indoor and outdoor at Rockfield Manor, with dancing, drinks, and celebration flowing throughout the garden and mansion spaces.
Please arrive 5 minutes early to give yourself time to find parking, say your hellos, and be seated before the ceremony begins. We’d love for everyone to be settled before the bride walks down the aisle!
Formal attire, please! Think timeless and elegant—dark suits, long dresses, or anything you’d wear to an evening wedding with a vintage flair. Our color palette includes navy, green, and ivory, so feel free to wear something that photographs well alongside those colors!
Any shoes should be fine, keep in mind you may choose to spend time in the gardens and on cobblestone paths at Rockfield Manor, so we recommend shoes you can comfortably walk in. Stilettos may sink into the grass, but block heels, wedges, or kitten heels/dressy flats are all great choices. (We also won't judge you if you change your shoes when it's time to dance)
St. Ignatius and Rockfield Manor are just a short drive apart (roughly 10 minutes). There may be some extra time in between the ceremony and cocktail hour, so please, don't feel like you need to rush. We recommend carpooling or ridesharing to make parking easy and convenient for everyone.
Yes! We’ve created two cash funds—one for our honeymoon and one for our first home. For those of you who prefer to gift something physical we have an amazon registry linked! You can find more details on these in the Registry section.
We’re so excited to celebrate with our closest loved ones. If your invitation includes a plus-one, it will say so on the envelope or RSVP. If you’re unsure, feel free to reach out.
While we love your little ones, our wedding will be an adults-only celebration (unless special cases- as noted on your invitation). We hope this gives you a night off to relax, dress up, and enjoy the festivities!
Bel Air has several hotel options nearby, including the Hilton Garden Inn and Homewood Suites by Hilton. Since the vast majority of friends and family live close by, we did not block off any rooms for hotel stays, if you would like to do so we recommend you book early to ensure availability. We also want to encourage our friends and family to utilize services such as Uber or Lyft for transportation if you plan to drink! Your safety is our biggest priority.
