A full moon. Shakespeare on the hill. The eve of Brittany's 21st birthday. Kyle had just come back from studying abroad in London. We officially met for the first time just weeks before we began working on a show together, introduced of course by Brittany's best friend and co-maid of honor Anna Jones. Over the next month while in rehearsals and performances, we became inseparable, despite both of us being in our senior year at differing universities. By the end of September, we eagerly confessed what we both had known: we were in love and we would never be parted again.
A moment of sunshine on an otherwise cloudy day. Arthur's Seat, the remnants of an inactive, prehistoric volcano that makes up the city of Edinburgh in Scotland. The day after Brittany's 26th birthday. Kyle had just joined Brittany in the most haunted city in the UK after galivanting around London on a solo trip. Brittany was finishing her run performing at the Festival Fringe. We had time to kill before dinner, and Brittany wanted to show Kyle the inexplicably gorgeous views of Scotland atop Arthur's Seat, which she had summited the week prior. Kyle ran up the stairs to grab a jacket, which Brittany thought was off, as it was uncharacteristically 75 and gorgeous outside. They walked down the Royal Mile, and at the base stood Arthur's Seat. They climbed about half way up onto a plateau, where many visitors where enjoying the stunning views of rolling green, ancient buildings and architecture, and the bluest of blue sea and sky. Kyle asked someone to take a photo, which Brittany thought nothing of; there was no way he was going to propose while she was wearing a Smokey Bear t-shirt and bikers shorts. They held each other close, and Kyle slipped out of her grip, and down onto one knee. "Bartyyyyyyyy," he said giddily. Brittany quickly whipped her head to the photographer, and Kyle whispered, "don't worry, she's taking a video." Brittany looked down at this boy staring up at her with the largest grin in the world, "Right now?! It's happening now??" Kyle giggled, hummed a little fanfare, and proclaimed, "So... whatdoya think?!"
