FAQs

Question

When should we arrive?

Answer

We kindly encourage guests to arrive by 4:00 PM. Once the ceremony begins, traffic will be paused to keep things quiet and uninterrupted—so arriving early ensures you won’t miss a moment!

Question

Are Kids Allowed?

Answer

We love your little ones! However, our wedding will be an adults-only celebration. Any children you may see at the wedding are either part of the wedding party or are present due to special circumstances. We appreciate your understanding and can’t wait to celebrate with you!

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Our wedding is in Georgia, so expect warm weather and sunshine! The dress code is semi-formal, so polished but comfortable light fabrics are your friend. We’re not a picky and just want everyone to feel good and have fun. A quick tip: since part of the celebration will be on grass, you might want to consider wearing wedges or flats instead of stilettos to keep your footing steady. If you’d like to join the wedding party, you’ll be wearing beautiful earth tones, shades of brown and hints of pink, perfectly matching our boho-chic, natural vibe. Otherwise, feel free to dress to impress in whatever makes you feel great and ready to dance!

Question

How do we move around the venue"

Answer

Weather permitting, the ceremony will take place at the charming chapel by the water. Parking is available in a grassy area nearby, with signs to guide you. After the ceremony, you can stroll over to the cocktail hour, which will be held in the bar area near the barn. No need to move your car! For our beloved elders and guests in heels, we’ll have a golf cart available to make the journey a little easier. The reception will follow inside the barn, just a short walk away!

Question

What happens after 8:45 pm?

Answer

After that, the energy may shift a bit, the music might get louder, the dance moves a little bolder, and the atmosphere a touch more grown-up. For the comfort of our littlest guests and beloved elders, that 8:45 send-off might be a lovely time to head out, if that feels right for you. Whatever you choose, we’re just so grateful you’ve been part of this special day with us. We love you!

Question

Where are you registered?

Answer

We don’t have a traditional gift registry, but we’d be so grateful if you visited our Honeyfund link on the registry tab on this website or https://www.honeyfund.com/site/simmons-baskin-09-20-2025. We’re hoping to fund some amazing memories (and maybe a fancy cocktail or two). We will also have QR codes linked to Zelle, Cash App, etc. around the venue.

Question

How can I share photos or videos I take?

Answer

We’d love to see your shots! Throughout the venue, you’ll find QR codes you can scan to easily upload your photos and videos to our shared album. Plus, feel free to tag us on social media using the hashtag #baskinourlove so we can enjoy your perspective of the day!

Question

Will there be alcohol?

Answer

Absolutely! We’ll have an open bar with signature cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic options, something for everyone. Please drink responsibly and hydrate, especially in the Georgia heat!

Question

Why can't I find my name?

Answer

Zola only allows us to list two adults per household, so some guests are shown as ‘children’ (this means you're likely listed under another family member) purely for technical reasons. We promise it’s just a website quirk and not a reflection of how wonderful and grown-up you are! We apologize for any mix-up and hope no one takes offense.
