Our story began on August 12th, 2016. Both of us happened to be in Vegas that weekend & both of us happened to start our trips off at the Wynn pool that afternoon. My buddy & I were the first to arrive from our group so we headed out to the pool to grab our first cocktail. We weren’t even 5 mins into being there, had barely gotten our first cocktail, & I’ll never forget my buddy saying “dude you have to come talk to this girl with me -- I’m going to be in love with her until next Wednesday”. We had literally just got there so I wasn’t overly excited to go spark a conversation at this point, but I begrudgingly agreed. Casually as the conversation continued to flow, we realized that the saying “what a small world” was very much true for our story. We both were traveling in from California, we both lived in Orange County, we both lived in Costa Mesa, & as we continued to break it down even further I told her that I had a house on a random street that she probably wouldn’t recognize. She said try me — come to find out the house I bought is on the exact same street & a couple thousand feet away from the house that she grew up in & where her parents still live! We had never connected in So Cal & there is a 99.9% chance we never would have. There was an unmatched level of authenticity & humble confidence that had me completely drawn in, but I thought this had to be too ironic to be true so I asked her to raise her sunglasses to see her eyes & find out if she was full of it or not and then BAM she hit me with those piercing green eyes and it was in that moment I knew something felt amazingly different. We both went about our trips and didn’t see each other the rest of the weekend. As a matter of fact, we didn’t first meet up until over a month after we initially met. But once we did, we never ever looked back. We got engaged on September 20th, 2017 & one year later to the day on September 20th, 2018 our baby girl Jas arrived and stole our hearts forever : )
