Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Absolutely! We have procured blocks at four hotels in the downtown area, only ~10 min from the ceremony and reception sites (see "Travel" tab). If you'd prefer something different, we encourage you to check out rental options on Airbnb and Vrbo. Fall is a busy time in Charlottesville, so we highly recommend booking your lodging soon!

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will begin promptly at 4:00 p.m. so we kindly ask that you are seated no later than 3:45 p.m. (As an incentive, we’ve arranged some pre-ceremony entertainment, beginning at 3:45 p.m., that you won’t want to miss!)

What’s the parking situation this weekend?

Answer

For Friday evening’s events, there is free street parking available along E Market St and the adjacent side streets. The closest paid parking lot is located at 111 E Market St (a 3-minute walk to Common House) and you can pay via the Park Mobile app or the on-site kiosk. For Saturday, Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church (ceremony) and Alumni Hall (reception) are next door to each other and both have free, on-site parking available. Note: Handicap parking and ramp entrance for Alumni Hall are at the rear of the building, accessible via Lewis Mountain Rd.
