Hello!

Fancy seeing you here.

If you are viewing this website, it is because we love you. Take a moment to give yourself a nice pat on the back, because we think you're pretty great! And you know, even if we don't love you and you happened upon this page because you enjoy looking at the wedding sites of strangers, go ahead and pat your back anyway, because there are certainly worse hobbies out there and you shouldn't be so hard on yourself. Either way, welcome. Take some time to peruse these pages. We'll try to tell you a little more about us, a little more about the wedding, and maybe even answer some questions you may have.

A Special Place

Madison, WI

As you likely already know, we are both transplants to Madison. Courtney came here to attend the University of Wisconsin and never left. Steve came here following a vague yearning to "find out more about this 'cheese' thing." His research continues. Founded in 1829, Madison is the capital of Wisconsin and is known for its fantastic food, friendly folks and, for some reason, pink flamingos. It was named after James Madison, who was the fourth President of the United States and one of the founding fathers of our country. Little else is known about James Madison, as Lin-Manuel Miranda has yet to write a musical about him.

A Special Couple

Love at fourth sight.

We met at a fabulous cocktail party thrown by our mutual friend, Jackie. (You'll see Jackie at the wedding. Shake her hand.) The party was so fabulous that neither of us remembers much from that night. But a spark was there! And after subsequent meetings (again involving Jackie - shake her hand!), Steve finally gathered the courage to ask Courtney out. Through a Facebook message. He's not proud of it either, okay? Anyway, our first official date was on October 1, 2012, for breakfast at a place called La Brioche. Courtney had immediately rejected Steve's initial suggested location, thus establishing the precedent of being a bit...picky about food. She also showed up to the restaurant early, thus establishing whatever the opposite of a precedent is. Over coffee and probably a croissant or two, we started on a journey that has been filled with laughs, love, and quite a bit of fun. We hope you will join us as the journey continues.
