Brett & Maggie's story started at a lake house in Missouri on one of Brett's family vacations. Maggie was one Brett's sisters - and one of Maggie's closest friends - Carly friends who got invited to come out for the week to celebrate the beginning of their senior year of college. Every night Maggie would go sit on the end of the dock for an hour or two to watch the Perseid Meteor Shower, and Brett decided to join her. After a few nights spent laying out under the stars and talking, they sadly had to go back their own ways - Brett to Atlanta and Maggie to Saint Louis. But they both knew that what they had was special and they couldn't let it go. They both decided that even though they lived far away, they couldn't be without each other and the rest is history! After graduating school, Maggie moved down to Atlanta to be closer to Brett and they eventually moved in with each other and adopted a cat. Almost 4 years exactly after that first amazing night out at the lake, they were on another vacation on the lake but this time in South Carolina. Brett spent days before planning the perfect surprise and doing everything in his power to keep Maggie in the dark. On a warm summer evening, right at the end of the dock where they first started talking and getting to know each other, Brett asked Maggie if she would marry him and she couldn't contain her excitement. It was the easiest yes of her life! They spent the rest of the evening calling family & friends to tell them the amazing news, and capped it off with dinner with Brett's family. They both are over the moon that they have found their person that they want to spend forever with and hope there are many more lake vacations in their future that hold even more precious memories
