Courtney and Derrick met through Tinder back in 2018. Their conversation was effortless and it wasn't long before they scheduled their first date. In August, after a week of texting, they met a GameWorks in Seattle. The chemistry they had via text continued in person. After a wonderful first date Courtney and Derrick spent every weekend together. With only getting to see each other on the weekends, Courtney and Derrick wanted more. Eight months into their relationship they moved into their first apartment together in Edmonds, WA. Courtney and Derrick knew early on in their relationship that they wanted to be together for the long haul. For their four year anniversary in August 2022 they took a trip to Mt St Helens. They drove to Windy Ridge Viewpoint, walked up 368 steps to get to the top of the Ridge. The view was amazing and worth the hike up. Derrick setup a tripod for his phone to take "a series of photos", he was really recording. With the view of Mt St Helens behind them, Derrick asked Courtney to marry him and of course she said yes!
