FAQs

The Wedding Website of Melissa Barth and Brady Hakes
Question

What’s for dinner?

Answer

We will be serving baked chicken or roast beef tips, red mashed or cheesy potatoes and variety of sides. Please let us know if you have any dietary restrictions or concerns. Light snacks will be served the remainder of the evening.

Question

What time should we arrive?

Answer

We ask that you arrive no later than 3:30 for the 4p.m. ceremony because staff need to drive guests to the wedding ceremony location. Arriving prior to 3:30 ensures the ceremony will start on time and all guests can be seated on time. If you arrive after 4, we cannot ensure you will be allowed to watch the ceremony.

Question

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

We are asking that all phones are put away during the ceremony. We have a professional photographer there and we will share our photos with you as soon as they are available!

Question

Is there lodging available?

Answer

Please see a list of local hotels on our website. There is no on-site lodging available.

Question

Are kids allowed?

Answer

Unless otherwise stated on your invite, we are asking that both the ceremony and dinner be adults only. All are welcome to dance the night away with us following dinner.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Our guest list is strictly invite-only. Your invite will indicate whether you have a plus one. We are not able to accomodate anyone who did not receive an invite.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

We aren’t encouraging any specific dress code. Wear what makes you comfortable and bring your dancing shoes!

Question

What is the best way to get to the wedding ceremony site?

Answer

Please park in the assigned parking location, and Dixon’s staff will drive all guests out to the ceremony.

Question

Can I leave my car at Dixon’s overnight?

Answer

You can! It just needs to be off the property by noon the next day (Saturday) to accomodate parking for their next wedding.

Question

Should we bring something to drink?

Answer

We will provide an open bar, with beer and select mixed drinks. Water also will be available. Should you want anything additional, we ask that you please provide that yourself.

Question

What should I do if it’s raining?

Answer

While our ceremony is outside, accommodations will be provided if there’s rain in the forecast (such as moving to another location or waiting out the rain). Dixon’s does have some umbrellas available, should it rain.

Question

Are there travel accommodations available?

Answer

At this time, no travel accommodations have been made to get to the venue or from the venue at the end of the night. Please see the lodging portion for hotels closest to the venue.

Question

Do I need to bring cash/money?

Answer

We are having an open bar. You are welcome to bring cash to tip the bartender.

Question

When do I need to RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP no later than July 1, 2023. This will allow us and our vendors adequate time to plan. If you do not RSVP by July 1, you will be counted as “no” to attending.

Question

How do I RSVP?

Answer

Please mail your RSVP slip to Melissa Barth, 3426 Midway St., Eau Claire, WI 54703 OR email the information requested on your RSVP slip to melissabarth28@gmail.com RSVPs are needed no later than July 1, 2023.
