Question

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony at Navy Pier will be outdoors, on the top deck of the Odyssey boat. There is a contingency plan to hold the ceremony indoors if weather is bad. The cocktail and reception will be held indoors in the event space side of Recess at City Hall (there is a separate entrance from the bar).

Can we bring our children?

Although we love your little ones, we respectfully request that no children attend. Thank you!

Can I bring a guest?

Answer

If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes. If not, we would prefer if it was just you.

Where can we park?

Answer

Ceremony: We recommend that you park at your hotel and/or uber from your place to Navy Pier (as parking is expensive). We will be providing shuttles from the ceremony to the reception , if you would like to take one of these shuttles please make sure to indicate this on your RSVP. Reception: There is also metered street parking (rate: ~$4.50 / hr, 2 hour limit) and a public parking lot across Recess at City Hall (rate: $14 for up to 12 hours, $21 for up to 24 hours).

Will the boat be leaving the dock?

Answer

The ceremony will be held on the top deck of the boat. The boat will remain docked at Navy Pier for the duration of the ceremony. There will be no elevator available, so be prepared to climb a few stairs.

Are masks required?

Answer

Masks will be required for the duration of the ceremony on the Odyssey for all of the seated guests. Masks may also be required when entering the reception space at City Hall, but are not required when eating, drinking, and dancing.
