Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

We recommend staying at the Kimpton Key West Lighthouse hotel where we have reserved a room block. It is a beautiful property that is located in downtown Key West. It is walking distance from most attractions, bars and restaurants as well as walking distance from our reception site. There are many hotel options in Key West so please feel free to stay anywhere of your choosing.

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

There will be transportation from the Lighthouse Hotel to the Key West Garden Club for our ceremony and then to the Hemingway Home for the reception. Transportation will leave at 3:15pm from the Lighthouse hotel to the Key West Garden Club. After the ceremony the trolley will transport guests back to Whitehead street for the reception at the Hemingway Home. We encourage guests who are not taking the trolley to use Uber/Lyft to the Key West Garden Club because there is limited parking. **Of note - The Lighthouse Hotel is located directly across the street from the Hemingway Home and is in walking distance.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Our ceremony starts promptly at 4:30pm. The trolley will be leaving the Lighthouse Hotel to transport guests to the Key West Garden Club at 3:15pm. We ask that guests not taking the trolley arrive before 4:15pm. Feel free to arrive early to explore the gardens. Guest will not be permitted into the reception at the Hemingway Home until 5:55pm. There will be some downtime between the ceremony and the reception for guests to freshen up or grab a cocktail at a local bar (or both). Please plan accordingly. As a reminder we will be providing transportation from the Key West Garden Club to the Hemingway Home after the ceremony.

Are kids invited to the wedding?

We love everyones little ones but we are having a kid free wedding. We hope that all moms and dads can enjoy a relaxing parents weekend away!

What can I do to kill time between the ceremony and reception?

Answer

There will be transportation from the ceremony at the Key West Garden club to the Hemingway Home on Whitehead Street. Guests are not permitted into the Hemingway Home until 5:55pm. We suggest guests grab a drink at Isabel's Bar located at the Lighthouse Hotel - be sure to try their signature mojito! We also suggest checking out Rams Head Southernmost which is located at 804 Whitehead Street (a short walk from the Hemingway Home) or check out bars a few blocks away on Duval Street. Old Town Tavern & Beer Garden located at 900 Duval Street, is another great option and is just a few blocks walk from Whitehead Street.
