Chris and Leslie met over a year ago through mutual friends in Harrisonburg, VA. After moving to D.C., Chris was invited back to Harrisonburg to celebrate in a summer "beerlympics" camping trip with all of his fire academy friends. From paddle boarding on the lake, jumping off high rocks, to competing in beer-disc, Chris and Leslie became instant friends. Though Chris had to drive back to D.C., phone numbers were exchanged and the rest is history. They spent the next year driving back and forth to spend time together. After many exciting trips to Baltimore for Orioles games, beach trips, nights in Annapolis, and daily FaceTimes, they decided to move to Winchester, VA to live together. Within 6 months, they knew they were ready to spend the rest of their lives together. Chris proposed to Leslie in November in Florence, Italy, after a hike overlooking the city. Leslie said yes through her tears and celebrated with the Barry family. Leslie and Chris are excited to celebrate their wedding with all of their people in one place.
