A modern-day love story, Andrew and Kate swiped right on Bumble both eager to find their forever match. Andrew was captivated by Kate’s warm smile. Kate with an affinity for corny jokes couldn’t help but laugh at Andrew’s clever bio and promise to handle all pest control for the foreseeable future. After a brief period of messaging, Andrew asked Kate out to grab a drink and she thought she’d give the gent a shot. Once Kate gave Andrew her availability, he picked the first day available. Kate later pointed out that day was Valentine’s Day, so they agreed to switch the date to February 15th. True to Andrew’s normal form as a planner he picked a restaurant which was mid-way between where the two lived and the date was set (sort of). The night of Kate arrived first to find the restaurant which Andrew picked was closed and kindly suggested the two meet down the road at Cloverleaf Tavern. Kate with an Allagash, and Andrew with a Guinness in hand, struck up a conversation and began to get to know each other over a plate of nachos and buffalo cauliflower. Throughout the evening Kate’s warm and inviting nature shone through, a testament to her and her chosen profession. Whereas for Kate, Andrew’s happy go lucky nature and witty jokes kept on her toes for the night. After that evening the two were inseparable and Kate started to think she may be able to see herself sharing her shoe closet with him for the future.
Kate loves flowers and activities outdoors. She is always sending Andrew different activities and places to check out on instagram. One of the places was the Leonard J. Buck Garden in Far Hills. Andrew had scoped out the place the week before to make sure he picked the perfect the spot. So when that Saturday came, Andrew and Kate had plans to meet Kate's cousin Sami and her boyfriend Rob for lunch. But prior to lunch he wanted to take Kate to the garden. After walking through the grounds and admiring all the flowers and greenery Andrew got down on one knee.
