Our Wedding Party

We wanted to see what our closest friends had to say about us.. so we had them write their own little blurb! We are so excited they are standing with us on our big day!

Amanda Vucic

Matron of Honor

It was Tuesday, March 14, 1989 on the labor and delivery floor of Euclid Hospital. Missy made her grand entrance into this world at 8:30am. A few hours later, I was born at 12:32pm. We’re both convinced we shared our first cries together in the nursery that day! Fast forward 18 years: we were freshmen at CWRU nursing school. We were studying together for a midterm in Amanda’s dorm room and realized we shared a birthday, lived 5 minutes from each other our whole lives, and were born at Euclid Hospital. Since then, we are convinced we are sisters (more like twins) at heart! We have shared so many, but my favorite memory is the time we skydived in San Diego! For some strange reason, we were brave that day and jumped from 13,000 ft to start a new year full of new adventures together!

Steve Baxter

Best Man

Tim and I have been friends for as long as I can remember, he was the best man in my wedding, and I am honored to be the best man in his! We have shared many great times from trips to Applebee’s for late night apps, Barnaby’s for cheap wings, lacrosse, soccer, trips to the beach and parties at the obies and smiths’ houses. Tim is also the god father to my son Cole, and I couldn’t have thought of anyone closer to me for that. Tim moving away from Pa is tough but I know he really loves Melissa and she makes him happy and that is all that is important. So I am honored to be apart of this very special day for the two of them!

Christine Hinrichs

Bridesmaid

Melissa and I met in July 2011, when she graciously offered to pick up a complete stranger (me) from the airport before we checked into Officer Development School in Rhode Island to follow our dream of becoming Navy Nurses. She has been my dear friend since! Although we have too many great memories to share, my most fond memories are of all our post night shift brunches in San Diego (Snooze) and of course when she was the first person to hear of my wonderful first date with my now husband of 6 years. Congratulations Missy & Tim!

Ed Arnold

Groomsman

Timmay! We became friends in highschool, and have been down for beach trips, cold beers and great pizza ever since.

Allison Mazzaferro

Bridesmaid

Allison and Melissa met in the library of Naval Hospital Okinawa when Allison extended a dinner invitation. She then became Melissa's preceptor to labor and delivery! They’ve traveled all over together and now Allison always makes certain to visit Melissa wherever she moves to! One of my favorite memories is when we went skiing in Sapporo, went to the snow/ice festival and toured the brewery!

Chris Oberholtzer

Groomsman

The first time I met Tim was at a cub scout event. Like me he was a small kid, unlike me he was a nice kid. At the event there was archery, and to this day I remember he hit a bulls-eye. Which is why to this day Mike Moscony still calls him bulls-eye. When I met Melissa for the first time, I realized that Tim hit another bulls-eye, some things never change. Melissa was incredibly nice, with a bubbly personality. I'm glad they're in N.C. together happy as can be.

Margo Smith

Bridesmaid

I know we obviously met at work, but I was trying to think of when we actually started hanging out. I traced back into my photos, and the first photo we have together was from Super Bowl Jan 2016 at the Officer's club, post-night shift. After that I pretty much invited myself on your birthday ski trip :) the rest is history from there! We've had too many favorite memories to pick just one; we have had so many amazing times. I think I would have to lump it all into our travel adventures. We've explored Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Denmark, and all around Okinawa and Japan with hopefully more to come!

Jeff Oberholtzer

Groomsman

I've been stuck with Timmy since a young age, and he paid me $5 to write that it has been the time of my life. Tim and I first met during baseball, although we didn’t know each other at the time. I would later learn we grew up about 6 blocks from each other in Broomall. We continued to meet throughout life, during soccer, lacrosse, middle school, high school, scouts, mutual friends as we grew up; and became best friends. I would mention my favorite memory with Tim, however I have so many great memories I cannot narrow it down to 1 or even a list without taking up half a page. Meet me at the bar, ill tell you all about them.

Emily O'Connor

Bridesmaid

Emily and Melissa met shortly after they both moved to Philadelphia - Melissa for her grad program, and Emily for her husband. Emily's husband TJ is one of Tim's childhood friends. Tim brought Melissa out to meet some of his friends after their second date, and she and Emily immediately hit it off! Their friendship bloomed over weekly dinner dates, as they bonded over their mutual love of cats and travel.

TJ Burns

Groomsman

We have been friends since.... Well let me put it this way. A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away... My fondest memories of Tim and I. Practice lip-syncing Backstreet Boys in elementary school. Endlessly honing our lacrosse skills day in and day out just to end up running monsters because our team was bad. Went to every bar in Dewey in one night and was still standing/coherent on our way home. Playing golf and trying to find each other’s golf balls. Building a snow igloo out front of Tim’s house during snow days and eating Doritos and having Iced Tea for our little hangout. Having Lan party sleepovers playing Halo with the goons. Watching/Playing a never-ending story (Morrowind) because it felt like there was no end to it.

Jeanette Dempsey

Bridesmaid

Jeanette is Tim’s twin sister! Melissa is not only my future sister-in-law, but also one of my dearest friends. From the first moment I met her (the night the Eagles won the Super Bowl) I knew she would fit perfectly with our family. One of my favorite memories with Melissa was this past Thanksgiving when I got to spend a week with her, Tim and our parents at their new home in North Carolina.

Pat Dempsey

Groomsman

I first met “Baby” Timmy back in October of 1989. The day was a little hazy but I remember meeting “the twins” and being so excited to finally have someone around the house to play sports with and torture. Over the years we’ve had so many memories, both good and bad but what brothers don’t. A few of my fondest memories with Tim: • Having the chance to play a lacrosse season along side him at Eastern and being the one I’d have in my “Foxhole” after the whole “BC” blow up • There’s no way to pick just one but All the times out with our college friends, either he or I had our fair share to drink and the other one was always there to make sure we got home safe (had front row seat to what came out of our mouths) • Having Tim standing beside me as my best man at my wedding. His speech was good
